अ ) टक्कर(Collisions): यह किसी अन्य ट्रेन या वाहन के खिलाफ ट्रेन के टकराव को संदर्भित करता है। इसमें सामने से टक्कर(head-on collision), पिछे टकराव(rear collision) और साइड टकराव(side collision) शामिल है। इसमें किसी वैगन के शंटिंग के कारण मानव जीवन की क्षति और नगण्य क्षति शामिल नहीं है। इसमें लेवल क्रॉसिंग पर दुर्घटनाएं भी शामिल नहीं हैं।

a) Collisions: This refers to the impact of a train against another train or vehicle. It includes head-on collision, rear collision and side collision. It does not include impact of wagons due to rough shunting without casualties and with negligible damage. It also excludes accidents at level crossings.

बी ) ट्रेनों में आग: ट्रेन में आग को केवल ट्रेन दुर्घटना के रूप में माना जाना चाहिए जब यह मानव जीवन की क्षति या शारीरिक चोट या 50,000 और उससे अधिक के मूल्य के रेलवे संपत्ति की हानि (क्षति) होती है।

b) Fire in Trains: A fire in a train should be treated as a train accident only when it results in death or physical injury or loss (damage) of railway property with a value of 50,000 and above.

डी) Derailments: यह ट्रैक से पहियों के उतरने को संदर्भित करता है जिससे देरी (detention ), रोलिंग स्टॉक / पी-वे की क्षति हो जाती है।

d) Derailments: This refers to the offloading of wheel or wheels from the track causing detention or damage to rolling stock/permanent way.
